WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Brandon McIver and Jonathan Woo both earned Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention accolades as announced by Commissioner Larry Scott Thursday morning. McIver and Woo became the first pair of UO golfers to earn the honor since Chris Dukeminier and Dustin Pewarchuk earned first-team selections back in 2006.

This is the first time earning all-academic accolades for both McIver and Woo. McIver, a Billings, Mont., native entered the spring with a 3.26 grade point average. The sophomore is still undecided on a major. Woo sported a 3.29 G.P.A. heading into the spring season, majoring in general social sciences with an emphasis in applied economics.

The Ducks made their 26th appearance at the NCAA Championships this past season with a 14th-place finish after finishing in second at the Eugene Regional, one stroke shy of Stanford. UO’s 14th-place finish as the third-best finish at the NCAA Championships in head coach Casey Martin’s eight years at Oregon. Martin’s squads in 2012 and 2010 tallied the program’s best finish with a tie for third place both times in match play.
