One of four Duck upperclassmen on squad in 2012-13, and career-wise has played four events (freshman 2; junior 2). His career-best placing, round (a two-under 70) and tournament score (+10 over) came in the 2012 Oregon Duck Invitational (35th, 77-70-77-224 (+10)). Played a key acting part in the team's internet-craze team video (Faster, Stronger Bigger, Golfer) for the 2012 O-Heroes Talent competition.
2011-12: Played two events as an individual for the Ducks, both in the spring. In the Oregon Duck Invitational (35th-tie, 77-70-77-224 (+10)), he logged his first under-par collegiate round at the par-72 Eugene Country Club. Two weeks prior in his season debut in the video Bandon Dunes Championship (72nd-tie, 81-75-80). His second-round score at Bandon was one stroke off his then-career-best round (+3) from his freshman campaign.
2009-10: In the spring, made first varsity appearance in the Duck Invitational, and also played one fall event, the junior varsity Washington National Individual.
Before Oregon: Nationally-ranked junior player by Golfweek (No. 152) and JR Golf Scoreboard (No. 178). Helped lead Marist High School to the OSAA state championship as a freshman and a junior. Also helped the Spartans take second in 2007 and third in 2009. Shot 150 to finish fourth at the state tournament as a sophomore in 2007. As a junior in 2008, took second place (150) in the state and the district champion. Finished second in the 2008 Oregon Junior Stroke Play Championship. Placed sixth (150) in the state as a senior in 2009. High school low round was 67. Four-time first team all-state selection. Was also a second team all-state midfielder for the Marist soccer team.
Personal: Major is Business Administration. Parents are John and Paula, and John golfed collegiately. Has one older sister.
