BRYAN, Texas - Senior and individual runner-up Daniel Miernicki led the No. 13 University of Oregon men's golf team to its sixth victory of the season in final-round action in the Aggie Invitational Sunday at the Traditions Golf Club.

The Ducks (376-376-357-1109) carded a three-under, five-person final round score Sunday (356) - the tourney low - to post an 11-stroke win.

No. 1 Texas (385-378-357-1120) and host and No. 15 Texas A&M (378-381-361-1120) followed for a tie in second place in the 10-team field that featured four top-20 squads.

No. 28 Oklahoma State (384-377-371-1132) and No. 30 Oklahoma State (393-376-370-1139) followed in fourth and fifth place, just ahead of No. 16 New Mexico (sixth, 392-388-368-1148) and No. 29 Baylor (seventh, 391-386-374-1151)

Miernicki (second, 73-70-74-217) led UO in a tourney's final standings for the second time this year (and both in the last three events) and 16th time career-wise. The former honorable mention All-American ended four strokes behind event champion - New Mexico's Victor Perez (first, 73-71-69-213).

The Santee, Calif., native shot one birdie on the par-four sixth hole, 14 par scores and three bogeys (on holes 11, 12, 15) in Sunday's finale.

One stroke back, Duck senior Eugene Wong tied for third place (73-75-70-218) with Toni Hakula of Texas (74-72-72-218).

Wong staked his 19th par or better round this season, thanks to his six birdies on the back nine Sunday (on holes #10, 11, 13, 15, 17 and 18). The former Nicklaus Player of the Year winner added nine par scores, two bogeys and one double bogey Sunday.

Redshirt junior Robbie Ziegler (fifth, 75-74-70-219) tied his best overall placing of the year, thanks to his two-under 70 Sunday. That season best-tying score was also his eighth round of par or better this year and 29th career-wise.

Senior Andrew Vijarro climbed 15th positions the final day to tie for 20th place (78-79-71-228), and carded his 13th round of par or better and 49th career-wise.

Sophomore Ben Itterman (20th-tie, 77-79-72-228) followed with his second round of par or better in 2011-12, en route to his first top-20 effort of the season and third career-wise.

Freshman Jonathan Woo (29th-tie, 78-78-74-230) rounded out UO's entries with his third, top-30 placing in four collegiate events (and first for the Ducks as a team entrant).

For the tourney, Duck player birdie/par counts follow: Miernicki (10/34), Wong (10/33), Ziegler (10/34), Vijarro (7/35), Itterman (7/33) and Woo (7/34).

With 10 stroke play events under their belt this season, the Ducks have celebrated team wins three times in the fall in the St. Mary's Invitational, The Prestige and Alister MacKenzie Invitational, and twice before the past month in the Oregon Duck Invitational and U.S. Intercollegiate.

Among other notable individual overall placings, Wong and Miernicki now have seven and five top-five placings on the year, including four and three, respectively, the last four events.

Looking ahead, UO returns home to compete in the Pac-12 Conference Championships next Friday-Sunday, April 27-29 at the Trysting Tree Golf Course in Corvallis, Ore.
