JAKARTA, Indonesia - University of Oregon sophomore Jonathan Woo capped an impressive run in the 52nd Putra Cup Friday at the Emeralda Golf Club.

The Singapore native (72-69-69-66-276 (-12)) added six strokes to his lead the final day to win by nine strokes. Overall, he posted 23 birdies and 39 pars to pull away from Srithong Natipong (second, 74-70-73-68-285 (-3)).

Woo's Team Singapore squad placed second in the four-day event, 13 strokes behind Thailand, who had also won the Lion City and Santi Cups. For comparison'sa sake, Singapore placed fifth in the latter events.

The three events were part of the 2012 South-East Asia Amateur Golf Team Championship hosted by Indonesia.

As a collegian in 2011-12, Woo played seven events for Oregon in the spring and was one of the team's top freshmen.

Among his 22 rounds in stroke play for UO, he shot five rounds under par, and another at par, and posted a 73.7 scoring average. Among his top placings, he tied for seventh twice in the Bandon Dunes Championship (+2) and NCAA Ann Arbor Regional (-5), and had a third, top-25 effort in the Oregon Duck Invitational (16th, +3).
