EUGENE, Ore. - After opening its 2013 season with an 11th place finish at the Amer Ari Invitational in Waikoloa, Hawaii, last week, the Oregon Ducks will pursue their second consecutive championship at The Prestige in La Quinta, Calif.

The three-day tournament will begin on Monday (Feb. 18) and conclude Wednesday (Feb. 20) at the Par-72, 7,156-yard PGA West Golf Course.

Oregon held off Washington by two strokes to capture last year's championship at The Prestige.  Eugene Wong (-12) finished in second overall to pace the Ducks a year ago.

The lone active Duck who participated in last year's tournament that will be playing in La Quinta again this year is senior Robbie Ziegler, whose three-day total of 225 (71-77-77) landed him in a tie for 67th.

Ziegler finished in a tie for 66th at the Amer Ari Invitational last week to kick off his 2013 season.  Other participants for the Ducks this week in California include freshman Brandon McIver, who led the Ducks last week in Waikoloa by finishing in a tie for 26th overall.  Joining Ziegler and McIver at The Prestige will be senior Tyler Parker, freshman Sulman Raza and sophomore Jonathan Woo.  Raza and Woo placed in a tie for 55th and Parker finished in a tie for 60th a week ago at the Amer Ari Invite.

Live coverage of The Prestige at PGA West will begin on Monday at golfgamebook.com.  Following the three-day tournament, the Ducks will have nearly two weeks off before competing at the Fresno State Lexus Classic on March 4-5.
