SAN JOSE, Calif. – Senior Kendra Little was one of five Duck entrants that placed top 35 overall in the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational, and helped the No. 31 Oregon women's golf team to a third-place team finish.

Oregon shot a score of 300 Tuesday – its best of the tourney – to finish with a score of 904 (302-302-300). In the overall team standings, the Ducks trailed No. 9 California (first, 297-291-293-811) by 15 strokes, while No. 22 UC Davis improved two places Tuesday to finish second overall (302-306-291-899).

Rounding out the top five, No. 24 Colorado (fourth, 298-306-303-907) ended six strokes ahead of No. 30 Washington (fifth, 312-308-293-913).

Senior Kendra Little (fourth, 74-72-74-220) led UO for the 17th time in a tourney’s final standings, and fourth time in 2010-11. The three-time All-Pac-10 Second-Team choice also paced UO in a round for the ninth time in her 21 rounds this season and 51st time career-wise.

Only four strokes behind the individual champion, the Eugene native carded another birdie Tuesday – this time on the par-4 ninth hole – which gave her seven for the tourney. On Monday, she claimed a birdie in the first round on the par-three 13th, and added five more in the second round (holes #1, 4-5, 16, 18).

Sophomore Cheyenne Hickle (12th-t, 75-78-74-227) tied Little for the low Duck round of the day (74), and led UO for the third time in six rounds this spring, and seventh round this year.

The Ducks also counted scores Tuesday from senior Erica Omlid (19th-t, 77-76-77-230), freshman sophomore Avery Sills (22nd-t, 80-76-75-231) and Raphaela Dyer (33rd-t, 76-78-80-234).

Overall on the individual leaderboard, Emily Childs of California (72-71-73-216) maintained her one-stroke lead to win over teammate Joanne Lee (second, 72-72-73-217). Anya Alvarez of Washington climbed two positions Tuesday to move into third place (73-72-70-219).
