Hey Duck fans!
After a great weekend, with three wins that included a match on Friday and a double header on Sunday, we started our week with a day of rest on Monday. On Tuesday we were pumped and ready for a solid week of practice before our next dual matches. Wednesday brought some great singles practice matches and on Thursday we were out on the court for a light practice the day before our Friday match. As Friday night rolled around we were fired up and ready for a battle against Sac State. We battled hard as the win came down to the last singles match. We came just short of a win as we lost to Sac State 4-3. Friday night was followed by a light hit on Saturday and some team time, as we got ready for our match on Sunday against Nevada. With a great crowd to start out (even on the Super Bowl Sunday!), we started out strong as we took the doubles point against Nevada. At the end of the night, Emmanuelle Cor and Patricia Skowronski won in two great matches to clinche us the match against Nevada 5-2. With each match we play comes more excitement and improvement, and we are looking forward to a promising and successful tennis season! Go Ducks!
