Hello, Hello, Hello!!!  So today I am writing in the lovely sunshine that Eugene as decided to embrace us with and I could not be happier.  It appears the Ducks brought back some of that lovely New Mexico sunshine.  Any way, back to reality. The Ducks adventured off on yet another trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico to take on the University of New Mexico Lobos and the University of Colorado Buffs.  My roommate (Emmanuelle Cor) and I woke up bright-and-early on Wednesday morning at the great hour of 3:30 a.m. for a 6:00 flight out of Eugene.  When we arrived to a bit chilly but sunny Albuquerque we headed for the courts to enjoy some high altitude hitting!  Afterwards the team then, of course, enjoy another Cutler-McDevitt homemade dinner; which was perfect for the exhausted and hungry group of girls.  Thursday, us girls had a little bit more time to catch to some z's with practice at a wonderful 9:00.  After the morning practice we were granted the treat of an amazing lunch at IL VACINO'S (something that Maja and I were ecstatic about).  As a friendly reminder, Albuquerque is not only my home town, but also where Maja played at UNM and therefore her second home-away-from-home.  Needless-to-say, we were PUMPED for some good eating.  However, the fun did not end with the good food.  After Thursday's afternoon hit, Maja, Emma, and I sought out for an adventure at Albuquerque's Historic Old Town; and an adventure is exactly what we found.  While Emma was fascinated by and admired the New Mexican architecture, Maja and I were simply enjoying the familiarity of the area.  Little did I know  that there is a rattle snake museum in old town.  One thing for sure, is that Maja did!  And that is exactly where we found ourselves along with the ugliest naked frog any of us had ever seen, some big and ugly spiders, and A LOT of snakes.  It was AWESOME!  But let us not forget that the reason we all traveled to the Land of Enchantment was to play some rockin' tennis.  After a long day of waiting, the Ducks finally walked into the bubbles to play the Lobos on Friday at 5:00 ready to rock and roll.  And that is exactly what we did.  The Ducks finished with a 7-0 win over the New Mexico Lobos.  We then went straight to bed to prepare for the next morning match.  Sadly the Ducks came up a little short and had a disappointing loss to the Colorado Buffs.  However, we are now back in action in a beautiful sunny day here in Eugene, ready to take on this weekends matches against the University of Minnesota and the University of Alabama.  Friday the Ducks will take on University of Minnesota Gophers at 12:00 p.m. followed by Saturday morning's match against the Alabama's Crimson Tide at 10:30.
