EUGENE – While the Oregon’s tennis season ended two months ago, Duck fans can still find some of the program’s current and former standouts on the courts in Eugene this weekend.
Seven current and former UO standouts are slated to hit the court at the 50th Annual Pacific Continental Bank Open Tennis Championship at Eugene Swim and Tennis Club Thursday (June 30) through Sunday (July 3).
Senior Jose Izquierdo, sophomores Alex Rovello and Michael Schaeffer along with former standout Alexander Cornelissen are competing in the men’s field in open singles with Rovello, Schaeffer and Cornelissen also stepping onto the court in open doubles.
The women’s brackets feature recent graduate Siobhan Cavan, who will pair with Molly McDevitt in open doubles while junior Lena Macomson is also in the women’s open singles flight.
A complete listing of the tournament draws, schedule and results are available on the United States Tennis Association’s website.
