HOUSTON, Tex.-- The Oregon Ducks women’s tennis team has wrapped up play at the University of Houston’s Cougar Fall Open on Sunday. Inclement weather prevented several consolation matches from taking place and the tournament was cut short.
Oregon’s Lana Buttner fell to Auburn’s Kitchen 4-6, 6-2, 10-3 in consolation. Lamar’s Yang advanced past Sofia Hager in consolation due to walkover, and Lamar’s Sheeran advanced past Julia Metzger in consolation also due to walkover. The only other Duck to compete on Sunday was Patricia Skowronski who fell to Auburn’s Burgmans 6-1, 6-0 in consolation.
The tournament closes out the fall slate for Oregon and the Ducks look forward to returning to action in January.
