Academic All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention
Started four games while appearing in 31 in her first active season with the Ducks...hit .440 with nine runs, one double and 12 RBIs...made her collegiate debut as a pinch hitter and defensive replacement at catcher against Stephen F. Austin (2/8)...made the most of her first career start, going 4-for-4 with two runs scored after opeing the game in the outfield against James Madison (3/3).
AS A FRESHMAN (2012)
Redshirt the season.
In 2011, the centerfielder topped +.500 at the plate, and helped her Glencoe squad to a 25-3 and 12-2 overall and league marks. In the state tourney, her squad opened with wins over Sheldon (10-8) and Sunset (7-6) before a quarterfinal loss to Aloha (3-2). Against Sunset, the league co-player of the year hit a two-out, two-run double to open scoring in a four-run fourth inning. As a junior, hit .472 after equally impressive averages as a sophomore (.469) and freshman (.367). Also one of the area’s top basketball players, the four-year letterwinner at guard and post was a second-team all-league pick as a senior and junior, a third-team selection as a freshman and honorable mention as a sophomore. In club softball action, her Northwest Bullets team placed ninth in the 2011 Premier Girls Fastpitch (PGF) tournament in Huntington Beach, Calif. In previous years, her Northwest Blaze squad won the 2009 ASA National Tournament and placed seventh in 2008. The club also won the 2009 Colorado Fireworks Tournament after third- and fourth-place finishes in ’08 and ’06.

Q: How long have you been a Duck fan or wanted to come to Oregon?
AG: "I have been a Duck fan ever since I was little. My parents were Duck fans so I grew up wearing green and yellow!
Q: When you talk to others about how you love being a Duck, what are the first things you talk about?
AG: "The girls and the experiences we get to go through together as a team!"
Q: Besides athletics, what things initially attracted you to the University?
AG: "I loved the campus. It made me feel at home and it was so welcoming!"
Q: What things do you remember from your Oregon recruiting trip?
AG: "We had a great time! I'll never forget when Papi (Sam Pappas) gave us a shake weight demonstration - too funny!
Q: In what ways does playing in the Pac-12 Conference prepare you to be your best?
AG: "The Pac-12 is one of the top conferences in the NCAA, which makes us work harder to be the best and be able to compete against the nation's top teams."
Q: What are the special parts about playing in a college town like Eugene?
AG: "The fans. They are all great and love their Ducks!"
Q: Oregon's state-of-the art facilities are a big thing in the recruiting process - what were your impressions of various ones?
AG: "They are unbelievable. The equipment that we have is incredible and really improves our ability to be our best."
Q: What's your major, and what led you to pick it?
AG: "I am undeclared, but am taking courses in business and education to explore around!"
Q: What extra academic resources do you take advantage of, and how do they help you be your best in the classroom?
AG: "I love so many things about the Jaqua Center, especially the on-site tutors. It gives us a quiet place to be able to go and study and get our work done!"
Q: Do you have a special pride to wearing the 'O', and why?
AG: "Wearing the 'O' across my chest an honor - there are no words to describe it. To be a part of a team and community of athletes like this is incredible, and can't be found anywhere else."
