EUGENE, Ore.- University of Oregon lacrosse midfielder Shannon Propst has been tabbed as Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Player of the Week for her performances against Davidson and Cincinnati last week, as announced by the organization on Monday.
In the victories against Davidson, 8-4, and Cincinnati, 20-10, the Bel Air, Md. native compiled six goals and four assists. In both matches, Propst matched her career high of three goals for the second and third times this season and fifth time overall for her career.
The sophomore leads the Ducks (7-4, 2-0 MPSF) in points with 33 from 19 goals and 14 assists. As one of six players that have tallied double-digit goals, her 19 goals are second on the team only to Nikki Puszcz's 23.
This is the first time this season an UO player has garnered the player of the week award.
Oregon, who is in a three-way tie for first in the league, continues league play against Fresno State and UC Davis this weekend. The match-up between the Ducks and Fresno State is Friday at 4 p.m. at Pape' Field while Sunday's match against UC Davis is at 1 p.m. at Pape' Field.
