Tennis player Robin Cambier was dominant this weekend for the Ducks. The sophomore from Brussels went a perfect 4-0 in matches against Idaho and Missouri-Kansas City, en route to the Oregon's 14-0 sweep of the two schools. He won both of his singles and doubles events with teammate Jeff Mullen, improving the duo to a combined 13-1 in doubles play on the year.
The Cambier-Mullen pair celebrated the tennis program's first doubles win over a ranked opponent since March 2011, when they defeated the No. 23-ranked Marius Cirstea-Jose Bendeck combo from Idaho.
Cambier has been terrific all year, going 6-3 in Fall singles play, and starting the regular season 4-0. During the Fall season, he won both individual titles for the Bulldog Classic held at Fresno State, and the PNW Intercollegiate held in Eugene. Look for Cambier and the rest of the Men's Tennis team to try to extend their hot streak as they head into the heart of their schedule.
