Sophomore right-hander Jimmie Sherfy was dominant in his outing against the Hawaii Rainbows on Saturday. His efforts helped notch Oregon's first win of the season, and also earned him his first collegiate win.

In a relief role, Sherfy struck out 13 batters in 5 & 2/3 innings. His performance included a crucial extra-innings stretch in which he retired 6 straight batters between the 10th and 12th innings, holding the Rainbows in check until the Ducks could break the 2-2 tie.

Look for Jimmie and the rest of the Ducks to gain momentum during the early season, as they prepare for exciting non-conference and Pac-12 matchups.
