Brianne Theisen and Dakotah Keys from Oregon’s Track and Field
team are Student Athletes of the Week!! Dakotah Keys, a redshirt freshman from
Sweet Home, Ore., assisted in the Ducks sweep giving a record-best performance
and taking first in the decathlon.
Teammate Brianne Theisen, a redshirt senior from Humbolt, Sask., had a
record-breaking day as well, breaking the Pac-12 record in the heptathlon with
the third-best score in NCAA history. Keys moved up to No.6 on the 2012 NCAA charts, and seventh on the UO career list. Theisen is now a three-time conference heptahlon champion and continues to break her personal records in long jump and javelin as well.
Both athletes have had tremendous seasons thus far and are looking to continue successful careers throughout the Championships.
The Pac-12 Championships continue this Saturday and Sunday at Historic Hayward Field. Be there to witness history in the making as the Ducks compete for the Pac-12 Championship.
