Missed the season after suffering a knee injury in preseason camp...Received a medical hardship and redshirted the season.
AS A SOPHOMORE | 2012-13
One of just two players to start and play in all 31 games...averaged 6.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and finished second on the roster with 71 assists...recorded a team-high four steals on three occassions...finished the season with a team-high 37 steals...second on the team with 282 field goal attempts, leading all guards...went off against Washington State (2/17), scoring a career-high 21 points and grabbing a career-high 12 rebounds...went 6-of-14 from the field and 3-of-10 from three-point range in that game...tallied seven points, seven assists and six rebounds in the game prior, against Washington (2/15)...scored 10+ points in six games and grabbed 10+ rebounds in three games...posted a double-double (10 points and 10 rebounds) at Portland (12/21).
AS A FRESHMAN | 2011-12
Appeared in 31 games and made 10 starts, averaging 5.8 points and 2.0 rebounds per game...led the Ducks with 45 three-pointers (a freshman record) and became the first freshman to lead UO in three-pointers since the 2006-07 season...season highlights included scoring 12 points and knocking down three 3-pointers in her first collegiate game as Oregon defeated Cal Poly 102-93 (11/13)...her baseline three-pointer with five seconds on the clock cemented Oregon’s 75-71 win over Portland State (11/20)...scored a team-high 17 points and knocked down a career-best five three-pointers in win over UC Irvine (11/25)...scored all of her eight points in the second half and knocked down two free throws with two seconds left as Oregon defeated Cal State Northridge 79-75 (12/19)...scored 12 points off the bench while recording career highs in rebounds (7) and assists (3) as Oregon defeated Arizona 87-73 (01/12).
A 2011 graduate of Moses Lake High School in Moses Lake, Wash...participated in four years of both track and basketball as well as one season of soccer for the Chiefs...on the court was a four-year starter under head coach Matt Strophy...holds the Moses Lake school record for career points (1,914), assists and steals...a three-time Associated Press Class 4A Honorable Mention selection (2008, 2010, 2011)...a two-time Seattle Times All-State First Team selection (2009, 2011)...a two-time News Tribune All-State Second Team selection (2010, 2011)...a four-time All-Area TriCities First Team selection...in 2011 was named MVP of the 4A-3A Washington All-Star Senior game after scoring 14 points, and was also named Washington All-State 4A Honorable Mention...in addition, was named the 2011 4A Big Nine League Offensive and Defensive MVP and the 2011 Columbia Basin Big 4A Big Nine Player of the Year...was also nominated for Gatorade Player of the Year...was a four-time all-league first team selection and a four-time all-league defense first team selection, earning defensive MVP honors on two occasions (2010, 2011)...entered her senior year as a four-star recruit according to ESPN HoopGurlz, and was also the 102nd recruit in the 2011 class according to Blue Star Basketball...guided the Chiefs to the Washington state tournament for three seasons, with eighth (2010), fifth (2009) and second (2008) place finishes...served as a team captain for three consecutive seasons (2009-11)...averaged 18.0 points per game in 2010...was a first team all-league selection on the soccer field as a freshman in 2007, and has competed at the district regionals in triple jump, javelin and long jump...a four-year honor roll student and four-year member of the National Honor Society...was awarded the Moses Lake High School Senior Female Coaches Award...was awarded the Academic and Athletic Achievement Award for the Columbia Basin League.
Played five years for the Spokane Stars under head coach Ron Adams and with current Oregon teammate Kat Cooper... was the 2010 Oregon Trail MVP...the club won several tournaments including Best of the West and Seattle MSNM...scored 18 points, grabbed eight rebounds and added eight assists as well as eight steals in the championship game to clinch the 2010 San Diego MSNM title.
Parents are Javier and Lori Loera...Has one brother, Josh, and two sisters, Jessie and Jamie...Brother plays basketball at Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake, Wash...Mother, Lori Carver Loera, played basketball at Oregon from 1983-84...Enjoys fishing, hunting, camping and cliff jumping...Was a three-year all-star pitcher for the Cal Ripken League...Also competed in gymnastics for 10 years, making it to the state championships for seven years and finishing fifth in 2005...Majoring in art.
