The 2008 Oregon Ducks have spoken, and the men they have elected to represent them on the field and in the locker room will be charged with leading them to be their collective best starting one week from today against Washington.

A quartet of seniors will lead their brothers into battle: Patrick Chung, Jeremiah Johnson, Nick Reed and Max Unger.

The team voted on Saturday and Coach Bellotti revealed this year's captains at the conclusion of practice.

The Ducks will have Sunday off before resuming preparations for the Huskies on Monday.

First Day of Game Week
Well, technically that will be on Monday, but for all intents and purposes Saturday's practice was the Ducks' first with 100 percent focus on the Dawgs. Any doubt of that was quashed when the first player clad in purple trotted out on the practice fields at 3:30 p.m.

Four members of the scout team report for duty on Saturday.
