Football Sets Pro Day Schedule
Friday, January 23, 8:00 a.m. PT

The Ducks have set dates for three pro timing days in the coming months. The first two, March 12 and 19, will be for seniors, while a third session on April 1 will be for juniors.

The senior pro days are opportunities for departing college players to workout in front of a contingent of professional scouts. For players who did not participate or were not invited to the NFL combine in February, these sessions can be very significant. They can also be an opportunity for players to better their combine numbers if they had a poor showing in Indianapolis.

Prospects like Terence Scott, who may be under the radar, can get noticed at pro days.

ASPER MISSES TEAM MEETING
Offensive lineman Mark Asper missed a team meeting last Friday, but his excuse was better than most. Oregon's starting right tackle in the Holiday Bowl win over Oklahoma State was at the hospital with his wife Michelle, who gave birth to the couple's first child, a baby girl. Makayla Raylene Asper entered the world Jan. 16 at 11:55 a.m., weighing 7 lbs, 11 oz (or about 309 pounds less than her 6-7 dad). Congratulations Aspers.

DUCKS ON THE TUBE
The Senior Bowl airs live tomorrow at 4 p.m. PT on NFL Network (DIRECTV Ch. 212, Dish Network Ch. 154 or 9426 HD). Oregon's Patrick Chung, Jeremiah Johnson and Max Unger are all on the North squad. Unger has been taking snaps this week at center and left guard, switching off with Cal's Alex Mack.
