PERSONAL — Born William T. Tukuafu on Jan. 3, 1984 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Wife: Krystal. Parents: Viliami (Dec.) and Ilaise Tukuafu. Ten brothers, five sisters. High School: East High 2002. Junior College: Scottsdale CC. Major: Political Science.

2009 — Team co-captain posted seven tackles tackles (five unassisted), including 0.5 tackles for loss, against Purdue to share team's weekly defensive player-of-the-week honors . . . Added seven more stops the following week vs. Utah, including 1.5 TFLs and one forced fumble . . . Posting 28 tackles for the year, credited with a pair of quarterback sacks vs. Washington State . . . Also third on the team with 6.5 TFLs for a loss of 22 yards.

2008 — The 13-game starter continued to develop as one of the Pac-10’s top defensive lineman, ranking fifth in the conference in tackles for loss (17.5) and tied for eighth in quarterback sacks (7.5) ... Tied for 22nd nationally in TFLs ... Earned second team all-conference (Phil Steele Publications) and honorable mention all-Pac-10 (coaches) accolades ... Oregon’s eighth-leading tackler - first among defensive linemen - was second on the team in TFLs and sacks behind All-America Nick Reed ... Posted a career-best 10 tackles at Washington State, including a season-high 4.5 TFLs ... Also added nine tackles against UCLA, including a pair of quarterback sacks, and seven stops vs. Oklahoma State in the Holiday Bowl, including 1.5 TFLs ... Got off to a fast start, accumulating 9.5 of his tackles behind the line of scrimmage in the season’s first four outings, as well as five of his QB sacks in the same span ... Forced a fumble vs. Arizona and recovered a loose ball at Purdue, where he was awarded the team’s defensive game ball.

2007 —
Able to elude most of the inconsistencies that plague a large share of junior college transfers, worked his way into the starting lineup on 11 of 13 occasions … The team’s ninth-leading tackler blended his ability to apply pressure in the backfield with the discipline to hold his own at the line of scrimmage … The Pac-10 honorable mention all-conference selection finished fourth on the team in tackles for loss (8.5) and was credited with five quarterback hurries … Finished tied for third on the squad with 4.5 sacks … Posted a collegiate-high seven tackles vs. USC as well as five against Arizona State and UCLA., with three of his stops against the Sun Devils resulting in a loss of 11 yards … Tied for fourth in the conference with a trio of fumble recoveries vs. Houston, USC and Arizona, while also prying the football loose twice … Was honored as the Ducks’ top newcomer (Len Casanova Award) following the conclusion of the regular season.

BEFORE OREGON — Ranked among the top two junior college defensive linemen in the country and was included on the SuperPrep JUCO 100 listing as the nation’s seventh-best JC prospect by Rivals.com … Awarded four stars by the recruiting service after posting 10.5 quarterback sacks for the Artichokes as a junior college novice … The 2002 prep graduate originally signed a letter of intent with BYU prior to embarking on a two-year LDS mission … Returned to earn all-Western States Football League honors at Scottsdale Community College, posting 56 tackles, 24 tackles for loss and recovering two fumbles in 2005, before relocating to Mesa (AZ) Community College in 2006 and opting not to play football … Earned all-region honors as a high school junior and senior in addition to team MVP during the 2001 campaign … Also lettered in basketball.
