2007-08: Indoors, ran the 60 meter dash and the 200 meter dash at the Husky Classic. Did not run outdoors. Was a walk-on for the football team in the fall and played in three games. Season Bests: Indoors – 60 Meters - 7.28, Husky Classic, Seattle, Wash. (2/16/08); 200 Meters - 22.99, Husky Classic, Seattle, Wash. (2/16/08).

2006-07: Redshirt season.

Prep: Was a member of Mission Viejo High School’s 4x100 relay team that placed third in the state in 2006. Also played inside linebacker, where as a junior he helped the Diablos to a 14-0 mark and a No. 3 national ranking according to USA Today. Sixth on the team that season with 31 tackles. Also had 2.0 sacks and an interception. Was the top tackler at MVHS in 2005 with 69 stops (7.7 avg.). Also led the Diablos with 6.0 sacks, two fumble recoveries and one blocked punt as the South Coast League champs went 12-1.
