2008 — Redshirt season ... Earned offensive scout team player of the week honors for his efforts leading up to the win vs. UCLA ... Delayed enrollment until the 2008 winter term while recovering from shoulder surgery after originally signing with the Ducks in 2007.

HIGH SCHOOL — One of the Northwest’s top prospects garnered SuperPrep All-America honors as well as four-star recognition by Rivals.com and Scout.com recruiting services ... Considered the state’s top recruit and one of the best offensive line hopefuls in the country, receiving votes on the Long Beach Press-Telegram’s Best in the West listing ... Also ranked third among SuperPrep’s Northwest Hot 100 elite ... The 5A All-Idaho Second Team lineman played a key role in the Timberwolves’ unblemished 12-0 ledger and 5A state championship as Lake City also finished third in the state in scoring ... Also a two-time regional shot put champion who placed second in the state meet as a junior and third his senior year with a school-record 53-5.
