Captained a line that helped the ’08 Ducks set school standards for rushing yards (3,641) and rushing touchdowns (47) ... The Pac-10’s academic all-conference honorable mention selection was named the Ducks’ top offensive lineman (Ed Moshofsky Award) for the third year in a row ... 2007 — Selected Oregon’s Outstanding Offensive Lineman (Ed Moshofsky Award) for the second straight season, the first-team all-conference choice was chosen as a first-team All-American by SI.com ... That was despite him making the transition from left tackle, where he had started the previous 25 consecutive games as a freshman and sophomore, to center, where he excelled in 13 starts as a junior ... Picked as the Ducks’ offensive player of the week against Fresno State and California and was a major key for an offense that led the Pac-10 in rushing for the second year in a row and ranked sixth nationally ... Was surpassed in snaps taken among his offensive line teammates in only one of 13 games, and accumulated a high of 103 plays at Arizona.
2006 — The 13-game starter at left tackle earned second-team all-conference accolades in addition to receiving Oregon’s Ed Moshofsky Award as its top offensive lineman ... Played a major role in Oregon finishing second in the Pac-10 in fewest quarterback sacks allowed (16) as well as leading the league in rushing offense (14th nationally) for the first time since 1955 ... Helped the Ducks rush for 315 yards at Arizona State as well as 316 yards vs. Washington ... Honored along with the entire offensive line as team’s “offensive player of the week” for their play against Washington, in addition to earning the offense’s weekly honors against Arizona State and USC ... Logging a season-low 66 snaps against BYU in the Las Vegas Bowl, his six games of 80 plays or more was led by his 87 reps at Washington State.
2005 — Protected the blind side of a quarterback admirably for 12 consecutive starts and did so well ... Was a major reason why Oregon rose from last in the Pac-10 in QB sacks allowed in 2004 (41) to third in 2005 (20) ... Took part in 80 snaps or more in 10 of 12 appearances at left tackle, including 100 plays at Arizona State, to receive the team’s Ironman Award following the season as the player who played the most snaps ... The 2002 second-team all-state offensive honoree (Honolulu Star-Bulletin) was a first-team all-Big Island Interscholastic Federation pick on both sides of the line of scrimmage ...
