The University of Oregon will host an extravaganza of sports-related activities to appeal to all appetites when it stages its Spring Fan Festival presented by Bi-Mart on Saturday, May 2, in the athletics department’s Casanova Center complex.

Included among the activities will be the hosting of the Ducks’ first baseball game against UCLA in 40 years, the women’s soccer team’s Civil War exhibition contest vs. Oregon State, the morning volleyball match vs. Western Washington (at Mac Court), as well as the football team’s annual Spring Game, representing its final scrimmage until August.

Parking for all events is a suggested donation of $2 per vehicle, with all proceeds directed towards the Todd Doxey Foundation. Doxey was an Oregon redshirt freshman football player who drowned last summer in the McKenzie River, with the funds used to help defray medical expenses incurred by the family.

The Autzen Stadium parking lot will open at 9 a.m., with all vehicles directed to enter the lot via Entry 4 and 5 off of Leo Harris Parkway. Bicycle parking also will be available around the perimeters of the stadium and the Moshofsky Center, with fans also encouraged to car pool.

The Moshofsky Center and adjacent Mo Plaza will open at noon and will include live music, interactive games, demonstrations conducted by various Oregon teams and coaches, autograph sessions, as well as food and beverage courts.

Included amongst the Moshofsky Center activities will be the opportunity for those in attendance to test their kicking skills, with one fan to be chosen to attempt a field goal in Autzen Stadium during halftime of the Spring Game.

The Oregon-UCLA baseball game will begin at 11 a.m. in PK Park, with tickets available by phone (346-4461 or 1-800-WEBFOOT) and on the athletics department’s official website, www.goducks.com, for $8. The women’s soccer game will start at 1 p.m. at Pape’ Field and is free of charge. The football scrimmage will follow at 2 p.m. in Autzen Stadium, with the suggested admission consisting of three non-perishable food items to be donated to Food for Lane County.

The Guest Services windows in the east and west ends of the main concourse of Autzen Stadium will remain open during the Spring Football Game to assist with the renewal of football season tickets as well as accept applications from fans inquiring about new season tickets.

The gates at Autzen Stadium will open at 1 p.m.
