Explosive scorer who played with the Nigerian National Team at the FIBA World Championships during the Summer in Japan. Long and athletic player needs to continue evolving into more than just a shooter. Has the tools to become an excellent defender. Lightning-quick release. Follows Andre Joseph as the second player to come out of Houston and play for Ernie Kent. Summer Notes: Playing for the Nigerian National Team (both parents are originally from Nigeria), helped the Nigerians advance to the elimination round, where they lost to Germany by a point. Scored eight points in wins over Serbia-Montenegro and Lebanon.

2005-06
Terrific last month of the season where he netted 40 of his team-best 68 three-pointers. Named to the Pac-10 all-tournament team after hitting a tourney record 14 three-pointers (6 versus Washington State and Washington, and 2 against California). Ranked fifth in the Pac-10 in averaging 2.1 threes per game. Played in 32 games and started 10. Was third on the team in scoring at 9.6 points per game. Grabbed 2.3 rebounds per game. Was second on the squad in 3-point percentage (.360) and fourth in free throw percentage (.792). Hit career-best six threes five different times. Nine of his 13 double figure scoring games came in the team’s last 10 contests. Opened with 19 points against Savannah State. Had 14 points in win over Rice. Season began to take off with a 25-point game (6 threes) Jan. 28 versus USC. Had three straight 20-point games between Feb. 9-16 against Arizona (21, 6 threes), Arizona State (20, 6 threes) and Washington (21, 4 threes). Scored 20 March 4 at Oregon State. Netted 6 threes to key a career-high 26 points in Pac-10 tournament opener versus Washington State. Drained another 6 threes (22 points) in second round upset of Washington. Had 15 points in the semifinal loss to California. Was named the team’s most improved player.

2004-05
Played in 22 games, but saw much more time the second half of the season. Five of his six double-figure scoring games came during the last 10 games of the season. Averaged 5.0 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. Sixth on the team in scoring. Shot 74.1 percent from the free throw line (20-of-27). Hit three three-pointers and scored 13 points against Marshall. Struggled during the middle point of the season before reemerging the final 10 games. Netted 12 points in loss at Stanford. Had a season-high 13 points in home overtime loss to Washington. Followed that with 12 points in win over Washington State that featured three three-pointers. Closed season with 11 points in a win at USC and 12 points in loss at UCLA.

Before Oregon
Rated as the nation’s 74th-best player by Rivals. That service also ranked him as the No. 16 shooting guard. Was a first team all-district and a second team all-region selection his senior season at George W. Bush High School. Averaged 20 points and six rebounds per game for a team that went 20-12. Scored 24.3 points per game as a junior and hit 124 three-point baskets.
