Full Court Press: A Look Inside the Numbers
Nov. 4, 2009
Coach Westhead promised exciting basketball and that’s sure what 1,692 women’s basketball fans got last night at Mac Court.
The Ducks ran all over Southern Oregon, coasting to a 109-47 victory.
A look inside the numbers reveals the starting five of Victoria Kenyon, Amanda Johnson, Jasmin Holliday, Micalea Cocks and Nia Jackson outscored the Raiders 40-10 when that combination was on the floor. That quintet also shot a combined .533 (32-of-60) from the floor.
The Ducks scored 109 points in 40 minutes of action without sharp-shooting senior Taylor Lilley, who is currently day-to-day with a right ankle sprain.
Oregon averaged 2.7 points per minute, and released 2.5 shots for every minute of play.
Southern Oregon had just two more points (47) than turnovers (45)
The Ducks have one more exhibition game at 2 p.m., Sunday, hosting Western Oregon at McArthur Court.
