2007-08: Competed in the triple jump in five meets. Was fourth at the Oregon Preview, Pepsi Team Invite and the Oregon-UCLA dual. Won the triple jump at the Oregon Twilight with a personal-best effort of 46-10.25. Indoors, competed in the long jump at the Husky Classic. Season Bests: Outdoors - Triple Jump - 46-10.25, Oregon Twilight, Eugene, Ore. (5/9/08).
Before Oregon: Competed for Lane Community College in Eugene two seasons. In the NWAACC conference championships, placed fourth in both the decathlon in 2006 (5,500) and triple jump in 2007 (44-6.25).
Prep: Competed in 400 and 800 meters at Central Catholic.
Personal: Human physiology major. His grandfather Harry Johnson coached the famous Nike Athletic West team in Eugene in the 1970-80s. Changed last name from "Schley" during the 2009 season.
