Ranks second among Duck returnees in 2006-07 based on javelin personal bests (214-3). Needs to throw a mark of 222-2 or better as a senior to join the UO all-time top-10 list. Transferred to Ducks for 2005-06 season after he competed in javelin in 2005 for Sacramento State and was a West Regional qualifier and Big Sky conference scorer. Ended 2006 season ranked ninth in the Pac-10, 16th in the West Region and 48th and NCAA based on season bests.

2005-06: Pac-10 Qualifier (Javelin). Threw a 3 foot, 8 inch javelin season best in the Pac-10 Championships (sixth, 214-3). That mark also improved on his former best for Sacramento State from 2005 (212-0). Topped 210 feet in two of his last three appearances, with other effort in the Oregon Twilight (second, 210-7). Added another runner-up finish in the Oregon Invitational (second, 203-10) in late April. Ended season with second West Regional appearance in javelin (14th, 202-11). Altogether, competed in eight javelin contests and topped the 200-foot line in six contests. Did not compete indoors. Personal/Season Best: Outdoors - Javelin - 64.18m (214-3), Pac-10 Championships, Eugene, Ore. (5/13/06).

Before Oregon: Javelin shool record holder for Sacramento State, and 2005 Cal-Nevada Championships javelin champion (school record 212-0). Ended season with appearances in West Regional (19th, 190-4) at Hayward Field in Eugene and in Big Sky Championships (eighth, 203-1). At end of regular season, ranked 12th in region and 34th nationally in javelin. Also ran lead-off on regional-qualifying 4x100 relay (41.68) Competed as a freshman for Clackamas Community College and placed fourth in the javelin in the NWAACC Championships, and owned season best of 200-2.

Prep: Was a Three Rivers League champion in the javelin and runner-up in the high jump. Owned javelin and high jump prep bests of 195-0 and 6-3, respectively. Three-year track letterwinner. Also lettered in football at quarterback two seasons, and three seasons in basketball as a post player. Dean's List honoree. High School (Coach): Rex Putnam '02 (Eggers).
