Attached is the meet information packet for the Oregon Invitational to be held at historic Hayward Field on April 21-22.

The meet will feature an opportunity for collegiate and post-collegiate athletes to achieve top performances in front of an electrifying crowd at Hayward Field.

Entries for the Oregon Invitational will take place at www.DirectAthletics.com beginning on March 15.

Distance Carnival: Friday, April 21
Held in the evening on a well-lit track, these races will be established to help athletes achieve IAAF, USA, and NCAA Division I qualifying standards. Sections will be arranged according to ability in order to maximize performances.
Events: 1500m, 3000m Steeplechase, 5000m, 10,000m for men and women

High Performance Schedule: Saturday, April 22
A two-hour high performance schedule for track races up to 800m and field events will be held on Saturday afternoon. Additional sections of those events will be held prior to the high performance window.

Oregon Invitational
Friday–Saturday | April 21–22, 2006

Entry Deadline
All entries are due by Friday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

Entry Procedure
All entries must be completed online with Direct Athletics at www.directathletics.com. Entries will not be accepted by telephone, fax, or e-mail. You may not enter more than 3 athletes per event. If you do not already have an account with Direct Athletics you will need to create one prior to entering the meet by visiting www.directathletics.com, clicking the “New Users Click Here” button, and then following the instructions.

Open / Club Entries 
Open, club, and unattached entrants must first contact the meet director, Michael Reilly, at mfreilly@uoregon.edu in order to obtain a password for Direct Athletics for this meet. A limited number of open, club, and unattached entries will be accepted to enhance the fields for the meet. Acceptance into the meet is not guaranteed.

Entry Fees 
Fees are $20 per athlete entered and $20 per relay team entered. The maximum entry fee for a team is $300 per team, per gender (i.e. $300 for women, $300 for men). Please make checks payable to Oregon Track and Field. Payment is due at packet pick-up.

Field Sizes 
We will accept entries so as not to exceed the desired field sizes listed on the attached schedule of events. Preference will be given to NCAA Division I institutions. Meet management reserves the right to select which entries are accepted in all events. A limited number of open, club, and unattached entries will be accepted to enhance the fields for the meet.

All accepted entries will be posted on goducks.com by 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18.

Scratches Please contact the meet director, Michael Reilly (mfreilly@uoregon.edu or fax 541-346-5243) with ALL scratches as soon as you know them.

Packets
Coaches and athletes may pick up packets at the Bowerman Building (located on 15th Street at the northwest corner of the track) on Friday from 4:30 p.m to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Implement Inspection 
Implement inspection will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday and at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the southeast corner of Hayward Field. All implements must be inspected at least one hour before the start of the event.

Training Room
Athletic trainers will be present in the Bowerman Building. Requests for use of training modalities must be made to Clay Jamieson at 541-346-2258.

Spikes
Spikes must not exceed 1/4". High jumpers and javelin throwers may use 3/8" spikes (in the heel only, if necessary).
