Is one of Oregon's most decorated prep recruits behind the plate and a key member of one of its greatest signing classes ever. As a prep senior in 2012, was one of three catchers tabbed to the ESPN High School 30-person All-America Team. Her #9 ranking on the 2012 ESPN.com Top 100 Signees was the highest of four Ducks selected in the top 63 nationally (with Danica Mercado (IF, #27), Cheridan Hawkins (LHP, #29) and Koral Costa (UT, #63). Oregon coaches are impressed with all phases of her game, both offensively and defensively.
PREP: As a senior, was tabbed an All-State First-Team and All-Region honoree after she hit .524 with six home runs and 28 RBIs in one of the nation's toughest leagues. Was also an All-State Second-Team pick as a junior, and was a four-time, first-team All-Santa Clarita Valley choice and three-time All-League pick. Also a Daily News All-Area honoree, she has helped her team advance to the CIF Division Playoffs Second Round in 2011. A key part of 2011's Premier Girls Fastpitch Tournament runners-up, her Worth Firecrackers squad won the Colorado Fireworks and Canada Cup tournaments in 2010 and '11, the same Colorado event in 2009, and the ASA Gold Nationals in 2009.
PERSONAL: Undeclared major. Parents are Scott and Dana, and has an older sister, Devon, and a younger sister, Lauren. Devon was an outfielder in softball for UCLA (2010-13). Her great uncle is six-year MLB player Chuck Essegian, who is only one of two men to have played in both the Rose Bowl (Stanford) and the World Series (Los Angeles Dodgers) and set a Series record in 1959 with two pinch-hit homers
