Ducks to Host Civil War Match Against Oregon State

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon women's soccer team will host the Oregon State Beavers for a Civil War match-up and final home game of the regular-season at Papé Field. First touch is set for 3:05 p.m. The match will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network.

Oregon will enter the match 8-9-2 overall and 2-7-1 in Pac-12 play.
The Ducks are No. 63 in the NCAA RPI rankings.

Senior Night: Oregon will recognize their five seniors on Friday afternoon: defender Ashlee Schulz, forward ShayLee Miner, goalkeeper Lauren Holden, midfielder Maryn Beutler and midfielder Marlo Sweatman. *also pictured, Caitlyn Wong, who will utilize her redshirt season next year.
Also playing their final Civil War match-up are Beavers: Annie Govig, Sabrina Santarossa, Helene Haavik, Greta Espinoza and McKenzie Redberg.
In the all-time Civil War series, Oregon leads 9-7-4.
The Opponent: The Oregon State Beavers are 7-10-2 overall and 2-8 in the conference.
Last Sunday, the Beavers traveled to Seattle, Wash. and defeated the Huskies, 1-0.
Emma Bergstrom scored the game-winner in the 61st minute off a free kick from the right of the goal.
The Huskies outshot OSU 17 (seven on goal) to five (two on goal). The Beavers had two corner kick opportunities, while UW had three.
In goal, Bella Geist made seven saves for OSU and Sarah Shimer made one for the Huskies.
Last Time Out: The Ducks drew with the Washington State Cougars 1-1 after double overtime last Sunday in Pullman.
The Ducks have 26 goals on the season, the most since 2010 (29).
Sophomore Bayley Bruner scored in the 19th minute off service from Marissa Everett.
The Cougars tied things up in the 73rd minute, as Amy Neal scored her first goal of the season off service from Kaitlyn Johnson.
In the first overtime period, the Ducks took one shot that was saved by the Cougars' keeper and earned one corner kick. Without a result, the game extended into a second overtime. Oregon had one shot, while WSU fired six. Junior goalkeeper Halla Hinriksdottir was called upon to make three saves.
As the extra ten minutes expired with no score on either side, the match ended in a draw.
Throughout the match, the Cougars had 25 shots (eight on goal) and the Ducks had seven (four on goal). Oregon had five corner kick opportunities, while WSU had four.
Everett led the Ducks with four shots. Bruner added two and junior Abby Morrow contributed one.
In goal, Hinriksdottir made seven saves. Her record moves to 3-6-1.
Looking Ahead: The Ducks will await their NCAA championship trip fate. The selection show will take place on Nov. 7.
