Ducks Take Brand Nationwide in 2017

EUGENE, Ore. – The Ducks will take their brand nationwide in 2017, with meets in New York, Florida, California, Pennsylvania and Washington, before returning to Eugene for the Pac-12 Championships in May, followed by the NCAA Championships in June, as revealed in the 2017 schedule announced by head coach Robert Johnson.
The 2017 indoor season opens in Seattle with the UW Invitational on Jan. 14 before a cross-country trip to New York for the Big Apple Challenge Jan. 27-28. Oregon will also compete indoors at the Husky Classic in Seattle and the Don Kirby Elite meet in Albuquerque, N.M., the weekend of Feb. 10-11. The MPSF Championships are Feb. 24-25 in Seattle with the NCAA Indoor Championships March 10-11 in College Station, Texas.
The Ducks will be on the road for much of the outdoor season. The opening weekend of the year, Oregon will send competitors to the Florida Relays March 30-April 1 in Gainesville, Fla., and the Stanford Invitational March 31-April 1.
Following a week off, the Ducks will have events in three different parts of California. Much of the squad will participate in the Mt. SAC Relays April 12-15, which will actually be held at El Camino College in Torrance, Calif., for 2017 while the facility at Mt. SAC is undergoing renovations. Other Ducks will head to the Beach Invitational April 13-15 in Long Beach and the Bryan Clay Invitational April 13 in Azusa.
April will end with a number of Ducks representing Oregon at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, while the remainder of the squad will travel to the OSU High Performance meet in Corvallis. The regular season wraps up with the West Coast Invitational May 4 in Salem.
Postseason competition will get underway with the Pac-12 Championships combined events May 6-7 in Corvallis. The main portion of the Pac-12 meet will be conducted May 13-14 at Historic Hayward Field with Oregon State serving as the host institution.
The Ducks will then travel to the NCAA West Preliminary Round May 25-27 in Austin, Texas.
The 2017 NCAA Outdoor championships will be held at Historic Hayward Field June 7-10. It will be the record 15th time that Eugene has hosted the NCAA meet.
