Hebard Named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week

After averaging a double-double over three games, Ruthy Hebard earned her first career Pac-12 freshman of the week award.
EUGENE, Ore. - After averaging a double-double over three games, forward Ruthy Hebard has been named the Pac-12 freshman of the week, the league announced Monday.
Hebard averaged 21.7 points and 11.3 rebounds while shooting 82.9 percent from the field in games at Clemson, Ole Miss and the Moda Center against Portland State.
This season Hebard is shooting an NCAA-best 81.5 percent from the field (66-of-81). She leads the Ducks in scoring (14.5 points per game) and rebounding (8.7 rebounds per game).
Pac-12 Freshman of the Week - Ruthy Hebard
• 3 GP, 21.7 ppg, 11.3 rpg, .829 (29-35), .875 FT (7-8), 2 asst, 5 stl, 1 blk
• Tallied 15 points in Oregon's 87-59 win at Clemson, 22 points in a 67-83 loss at Ole Miss and 28 points in a 90-46 win over Portland State.
• Shot 82.9 percent from the floor (29-of-35) during the week and leads the NCAA in field goal percentage (81.5).
• It is the 16th weekly freshman honor all-time for the Ducks. Sabrina Ionescu won twice earlier this season.
