Buckner A Top Rookie in Madden NFL 17
With NFL traning camps set to open next week, EA Sports has started teasing its latest version of the Madden NFL video game series with player ratings for the league's top rookies. Among the best newcomers - according to EA - is San Francisco 49ers defensive end DeForest Buckner.
The former Oregon Ducks standout garnered an overall rating of 78, which is tied with Cleveland receiver Corey Coleman and San Diego tight end Hunter Henry. Only two rookies cracked 80 with Jacksonville corner Jalen Ramsey at 82 and Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliott at 80.
Buckner's top marks include 87 in power and 86 in tackling.
Madden NFL 17 debuts August 23.
