First-year UO head coach Willie Taggart will announce the Ducks' newest additions through his Twitter account, @CoachTaggart, as letters of intent are received and cleared through the athletic department's compliance office. Prospects can begin signing at 7 a.m. local time, meaning the first batch of letters from recruits on the East Coast could be received as early as 4 a.m. PT.
Taggart's press conference introducing the class, scheduled for 11 a.m., will be streamed live via the GoDucks accounts on Facebook and Twitter. So too will his Oregon Club appearances in Eugene at noon and in Portland at 7 p.m. Additional streaming content with the coaching staff is planned for Wednesday morning as letters of intent are being received.
The football program has already welcomed three members of the class who enrolled in January. The trio includes defensive back Thomas Graham Jr., defensive lineman Jordon Scott and placekicker Adam Stack.
Those three plus the rest of the class will be featured at a series of events celebrating the 2017 recruiting class around the state of Oregon on signing day. Taggart and his full staff of assistants will introduce the class to the Oregon Club of Eugene/Springfield during a lunch Wednesday at the Eugene Hilton.
Then, Taggart, run-game coordinator and offensive line coach Mario Cristobal, defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt, assistant head coach and defensive line coach Joe Salave'a, special teams coordinator Raymond Woodie and athletic director Rob Mullens will head north to participate in the Oregon Club of Portland's signing day dinner hosted by ESPN anchor Neil Everett at the Oregon Convention Center. Additional guests in Portland include program alumni Arik Armstead, DeForest Buckner, Kellen Clemens and more.
Receivers coach Jimmie Dougherty, cornerbacks coach Charles Clark and graduate assistant David Gilbertson will attend the Oregon Club of Southern Oregon's signing day event at Rogue Valley Country Club in Medford.
Safeties coach Keith Heyward, running backs coach Donte Pimpleton and Oregon radio voice Jerry Allen will be in Bend with the Oregon Club of Central Oregon for its event Wednesday evening. And new director of player personnel David Kelly, Autzen Stadium PA voice Don Essig and additional recruiting staff will discuss the class with the Oregon Club of Willamette Valley at the Willamette Heritage Center in Salem.
