Oregon meets No. 10 Stanford on Friday and No. 20 California on Sunday
EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon women's basketball team will hit the road in Pac-12 play for the first time this season when it visits No. 10 ranked Stanford at 8 PM on Friday.
OREGON DUCKS (10-4, 0-2 Pac-12)

Notable: The Ducks opened Pac-12 play with losses to Washington and Washington State last weekend at home. Even in defeat, forward Ruthy Hebard stood out for the Ducks. The freshman now ranks 12th in the Pac-12 in scoring (14.6 ppg) - the most by any rookie - while shooting an NCAA-best 73.2 percent from the field (82-of-112). Freshman Ruthy Hebard has already established herself as one of the best forwards in the Pac-12. The Alaska native has scored 20+ points in three of Oregon's last five games. This weekend she will get to test herself against Stanford star forward Eric McCall and the reigning USBWA National Freshman of the Year, Cal forward Kristine Anigwe.

The new year began in disappointing fashion for the Oregon women's basketball team Sunday, when the Ducks lost 75-59 to Washington State before 2,402 fans in Matthew Knight Arena. The Ducks (10-4, 0-2 Pac-12) came out flat and never really got going. Lexi Bando scored eight of their first 10 points as Oregon fought from behind into a 10-8 lead, and Ruthy Hebard scored to put the Ducks up 12-10. But after a UO free throw, Alexys Swedlund converted a three-point play for WSU (6-8, 1-2) at the other end, and Oregon never led again. The Cougars got hot in the second quarter, shooting .556 to take a 41-34 lead into halftime. Oregon fought within 46-41 early in the third quarter, before WSU ripped off eight straight points to go head 54-41. Swedlund opened the fourth quarter with another three-pointer for the Cougars' biggest lead, 64-46. They matched that 18-point advantage a couple of times later in the quarter. Bando scored 19 points to lead the Ducks, on 6-of-15 shooting. Ruthy Hebard added 14 points on eight rebounds, though the one-time NCAA leader in field-goal percentage made just 3-of-7 attempts Sunday. Maite Cazorla returned from injury to score six points and dish out three assists.
