
Ducks Add Second Five-Star Recruit To Class Of 2022

Oregon women’s tennis head coach Alison Silverio announced the addition of five-star recruit Jessica Anzo Wednesday morning.
EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon women's tennis head coach Alison Silverio bolstered her 2018-19 roster with another five-star recruit in Jessica Anzo Wednesday morning.
"We could not be more excited to sign Jessica to the 2018 class," said Silverio. "She is a hardworking, high character, and talented student-athlete."Â

Originally from Temecula, Calif., Anzo heads to Eugene as the ninth-ranked tennis player in the class of 2018 out of California, and 28th overall according to the tennis recruiting network.
Anzo currently sports an 11-6 singles record in her juniors career, advancing all the way to the quarterfinals in last year's USTA National Selection Tournament. She also earned a berth in the USTA National Winter Championships round of 32 last December.
She continued her stellar tournament play at the2017Â Â USTA International Spring Championships making it to the round of 16 before falling to another five-star recruit out of California, Regina Pitts, 6-2, 7-5.
In the USTA girls' 18 National Championships this past August, Anzo made it to the round of 64 in singles play while advancing all the way to the round of 16 in doubles play before dropping a hard fought three set match, 6-2, 5-7, 10-5.
"Jessica is a team player and will make an immediate impact on our program with her commitment and dedication," continued Silverio. "We are looking forward to being a part of her development both on and off the court. Welcome to the Duck Family, Jessica!"
