
Agost, Stone Named All-Pac-12

Senior Taylor Agost and sophomore Ronika Stone have been named to the all-Pac-12 team, the conference announced Tuesday.
EUGENE, Ore. – Senior Taylor Agost and sophomore Ronika Stone of Oregon volleyball have been named to the all-Pac-12 team, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Agost, an Oregon native out of Happy Valley, earned her first all-Pac-12 honor after leading the Ducks in the regular season with a career-best 2.98 kills per set on .282 hitting while adding 1.01 digs per set and 12 aces.
Agost has transitioned into a six-rotation role for the first time since high school, and has established new career-highs for kills on multiple occasions, most recently putting down 25 on Nov. 17 against Washington State. Agost has also racked up six double-doubles this year, tied for third most on the team. The senior was the Pac-12 offensive player of the week on Sept. 11 after hitting .619 with 28 kills on 42 swings in the Nike Classic, while also earning tournament MVP honors.
Stone, a sophomore out of San Jose, Calif., was named to the all-Pac-12 team after finishing the regular season second in the Pac-12 in hitting percentage at .370. Stone's mark currently stands as the fourth best in UO single-season history, and she also leads the Ducks and ranks 10th in the Pac-12 with 0.28 aces per set (30 total). Stone is also averaging 2.14 kills per set and 1.09 blocks per set this season.
Stone was the MVP of the Oregon Classic early in the season after hitting .462 with 2.09 kills per set and seven aces over three matches, and she was also named to the Nike Classic all-tournament team. Stone earns all-Pac-12 honors for the first time after being named to the Pac-12 all-freshman team last season. Stone and Agost were both all-Pac-12 honorable mention picks last year.
Junior Lindsey Vander Weide and sophomore Jolie Rasmussen were also awarded all-Pac-12 honorable mention recognition for the Ducks.
Oregon opens the NCAA Tournament this Friday in Provo, Utah, at 3 p.m. PT against Kennesaw State.
