NFL #ProDucks: Week 16

Playoff spots are on the line as we head into the final week of the regular season for a few former Ducks in the NFL. Currently, 21 #ProDucks are on the active rosters of 15 NFL teams. Additionally, four are on practice squads, five are on Injured Reserve and one is on the Non-Football Injury list.
A number of #ProDucks had a big week on the defensive side of the ball with Troy Hill and Patrick Chung both leading their teams in crucial wins for playoff positioning. Dion Jordan recorded a sack in a Seattle win and Kiko Alonso recorded double-digits in tackles for Miami in a loss.

NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE
Carolina Panthers
- TE Evan Baylis is currently on the Panthers' practice squad.
- S Jairus Byrd assisted on one special teams tackle as Carolina clinched a playoff berth with a 22-19 win over Tampa Bay. The Panthers could win the NFC South with a win and a New Orleans loss as they prepare to close out the season at Atlanta.
- TE Ed Dickson played but did not record any statistics in the win. Dickson continues to have one of the most productive seasons of his career, averaging a career-high 14.8 yards per catch racking up 415 yards on 28 receptions.
- LB Spencer Paysinger saw playing time on special teams.
- RB Jonathan Stewart ran for 19 yards on seven carries. Stewart's productivity has increased throughout the second half of the season, scoring five touchdowns and running for 330 yards over the last six games.
- C Hroniss Grasu made his third start of the season at center in a 20-3 win over Cleveland. The Bears will look to close out the regular season on an upswing at Minnesota.
- OL Kyle Long was placed on Injured Reserve with a shoulder injury after Week 13, ending his season.
- OL Jake Fisher is on the Non-Football Injury list. Fisher has undergone successful surgery to correct an irregular heartbeat but will miss the remainder of the season as he recovers.
- DT Haloti Ngata is on Injured Reserve after he suffered a torn bicep in Detroit's Week 5 loss to Carolina and is out for the season.
- S Eddie Pleasant recorded one solo tackle in a 34-6 loss to Pittsburgh. Pleasant has 31 tackles, an interception and a forced fumble heading into the Texans' season-finale at Indianapolis.
- TE Brandon Williams did not play after being placed on Injured Reserve with a concussion sustained in Week 15 and is out for the season. Williams had the most productive season of his career, finishing with 13 catches for 121 yards in 14 games.
- CB Terrance Mitchell made one solo stop on special teams as Kansas City clinched the AFC West with a 29-13 win over Miami. The Chiefs are locked in to the No. 4 seed in the AFC Playoffs heading into their regular season-finale at Denver.
- WR De'Anthony Thomas played but did not record any statistics in the win.
- QB Kellen Clemens saw time on special teams as the holder in a 14-7 win over the New York Jets. The Chargers will need a win over Oakland and some help from Tennessee and Buffalo in order to earn a wild card spot.
- CB Troy Hill led the team defensively with a season-high nine tackles and one pass breakup as Los Angeles clinched the NFC West with a 27-23 win over Tennessee. The Rams will host a game in the NFC Wild Card round regardless of what happens this week when they host San Francisco to close out the regular season.
- TE Johnny Mundt is currently on the Rams' practice squad.
- LB Kiko Alonso made 11 tackles, eight solo, in a 29-13 loss to Kansas City. Alonso is second on the team and 14th in the NFL with 110 tackles and has also forced two fumbles and recorded one sack. The Dolphins will close out their season at home against Buffalo.
- S Patrick Chung recorded six tackles, four solo, while breaking up two passes and registering one quarterback hit in a 37-16 win over Buffalo. Chung has 82 tackles on the season while tying a career-high with nine passes defended along with one interception. The Patriots can lock up home-field advantage throughout the AFC Playoffs with a win over the New York Jets.
- C Max Unger started at center as New Orleans clinched a playoff spot with a 23-13 win over Atlanta. Unger has started all 15 games at center this season and the Saints can clinch the NFC South crown with a win at Tampa Bay or a Carolina loss.
- TE Pharaoh Brown was elevated to the active roster and saw playing time in Oakland's 19-10 loss to Philadelphia. The Raiders will try to avoid ending the season on a four-game losing streak when they close out the regular season at the Los Angeles Chargers.
- RB Kenjon Barner returned three punts for 18 yards as Philadelphia locked up home-field advantage in the NFC Playoffs with a 19-10 win over Oakland. The Eagles don't have much to play for in their regular season-finale against Dallas and can rest some key starters in preparation for a playoff run.
- RB LeGarrette Blount rushed for 12 yards on five carries in the win. Blount leads the Eagles in rushing with 729 yards and is averaging 4.4 yards per carry.
- LB Joe Walker was inactive in the win.
- DL Arik Armstead is on Injured Reserve after suffering a broken hand in Week 6.
- DL DeForest Buckner recorded three tackles, two solo, while tallying one quarterback hit and a pass breakup as San Francisco won its fourth straight with a 44-33 victory over Jacksonville. Buckner is having a strong second season in the NFL as he is third among defensive tackles with 60 tackles and also has three sacks. The 49ers will look to win their fourth straight when they host Jacksonville on Sunday at 1:05 p.m.
- OL Cameron Hunt is currently on the 49ers' practice squad.
- DE Dion Jordan recorded a sack for the second week in a row along with three solo tackles in 21-12 win over Dallas. Jordan now has three sacks on the season while making 15 tackles and has made an impact for Seattle defensively in four games played. The Seahawks need a win at home against Arizona and an Atlanta loss to sneak into the playoffs as the sixth seed. Sports Illustrated's Greg Bishop profiled Jordan's comeback from alcoholism HERE.
- S T.J. Ward made a season-high nine tackles, five solo, in a 22-19 loss to Carolina. Ward has 40 tackles and three passes defended heading into the Buccaneers' season finale against New Orleans.
- QB Marcus Mariota threw for 275 yards on 22-of-39 passing while throwing one interception and rushing for 24 yards on three carries in a 27-23 loss to Los Angeles. On the season, Mariota has thrown for 3,098 yards and is completing 62.3 percent of his passes while tossing 12 touchdowns and rushing for five more. The Titans can clinch an AFC wild card spot with a win over Jacksonville to close out the regular season.
- OL Alex Balducci is currently on the Redskins' practice squad.
- RB Byron Marshall was placed on injured reserve prior to last week's win over Arizona following a hamstring injury sustained in Week 14 and will miss the remainder of the season.
CANADIAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE
BC Lions
- RB Jeremiah Johnson ran for 913 yards on 158 carries with nine rushing touchdowns as the Lions finished the season 7-11. He also had 48 receptions for 542 yards and three touchdowns. Johnson ran for 92 yards and a touchdown while catching four passes for 34 yards in the season-opener against Edmonton on June 24.
- QB Jeremiah Masoli completed 249-of-391 passes for 3,177 yards and 15 touchdowns with five interceptions while also running for 446 yards and four touchdowns as the Tiger-Cats finished the season 6-12. He threw for 438 yards and four touchdowns on 32-of-46 passing in the Tiger-Cats' 41-36 loss to Ottawa on Oct. 27.
- QB Vernon Adams Jr. appeared in seven games with the Montreal Alouettes before being traded to the Roughriders on Aug. 15. He carried the ball 12 times for 33 yards with three touchdowns in seven appearances with Sakatchewan. Adams ran for a one-yard touchdown in the Roughriders' 31-20 win over Ottawa to put them one win away from advancing to the Grey Cup.
- DB Erick Dargan recorded 29 tackles in nine games on the season, including a seven-tackle performance on Sept. 3 against Winnipeg. Dargan is currently on the six-game injury list.
- QB/S Dakota Prukop appeared in nine games and made five tackles. Prukop ended the season on the one-game injury list for the Grey Cup Champions.
