Oregon left tackle Tyrell Crosby was named the Pac-12's best offensive lineman for the 2017 season, in a vote of conference defensive players.
Oregon senior Tyrell Crosby on Tuesday was awarded the Morris Trophy as the Pac-12 Conference's top offensive lineman for the 2017 season, as voted on by the conference's defensive linemen.
Crosby, named first-team all-conference earlier in the day, played all season without allowing a recorded quarterback hurry or hit. He helped the Ducks average 268 rushing yards per game, second-most in the Pac-12.
Crosby is the seventh Morris Trophy winner in UO football history, and the third on offense. Past winners from Oregon include defensive tackle Vince Goldsmith in 1980, offensive guard Gary Zimmerman in 1983, offensive guard Adam Snyder in 2004, defensive tackle Haloti Ngata in 2005, defensive end Nick Reed in 2008 and defensive end DeForest Buckner in 2015.
The Morris Trophy, presented annually by the Washington Athletic Club, will be presented to Crosby and defensive winner Vita Vea of UW during a ceremony in Seattle on Jan. 18, 2018.
Crosby, a native of Henderson, Nev., has a chance to play his final collegiate game near his home town when the Ducks face Boise State in the Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 16.
