The senior is also second in the country in 3,000 meters (7:46.85), qualifying him for the NCAA Indoor Championships in all three events. Entries for the NCAA Indoors are due on Tuesday, so the Ducks' coaching staff will decide which events Cheserek will compete in at College Station, Texas, on March 10-11 to best benefit the team.
The Ducks have now broken three indoor collegiate records this season, with Cheserek joining Hannah Cunliffe (60m, 7.07) and the women's distance medley relay team (10:48.77).
