EUGENE, Ore. - No. 3 ranked Oregon's first Pac-12 road series of the season is a big one against No. 11 ranked Utah in Salt Lake City.
#3 OREGON DUCKS (27-0, 3-0 Pac-12)

The longest winning streak in both Pac-12 and NCAA history is 47 games, set by Arizona over the 1996 and 1997 seasons. The Ducks are getting it done at both the plate and in the circle. Oregon's .375 team batting average ranks No. 2 in the NCAA this season while the team's .471 on-base percentage leads the country. The Ducks' collective 1.12 ERA ranks ninth in the country.

Hannah Flippen leads the Pac-12, slugging .842 this year with six homers and a team-high 31 RBIs. Utah's pitching staff has 129 strikeouts in 157.2 innings with only 26 walks. Pac-12 pitcher of the week, Miranda Viramontes, has a 0.76 ERA with just four walks and five earned runs allowed in 46.0 innings. Last weekend in a sweep of UCLA, Viramontes won twice with one run allowed on nine hits and no walks in 11 innings.

With an 8-2 victory against Stephen F. Austin last weekend at the Mizzou Tournament, the Ducks set a new program record for consuective wins at 19. The Ducks now have won 27 straight games. Oregon won 18 straight games last season, which matched the previous record. The Ducks also won 18 straight games in 2007.
LAST WEEKEND
Oregon went 5-0 over the weekend at its Oregon Invitational. The Ducks won via run-rule in four of the five contests. Oregon scored 54 runs while allowing just four at the Oregon Invitational.
- OF Sammie Puentes had a huge weekend, going 6-for-7 with five walks as she hit .857.
- OF Danica Mercado also had a big weekend, going 10-for-16 with a tournament-high seven runs scored.
- In the circle, RHP Megan Kleist did not allowed a run over two shutout, five-inning run-rule wins. She allowed just eight hits in 10 innings with one walk and 17 strikeouts.

Utah played the longest game in NCAA history in 1991 when the Utes and Creighton went 31 innings. Utah left an NCAA record 34 runners on base. Utah had a NCAA record 114 at-bats in the game. Amazingly, the teams played a 25 inning game the following day. Utah had 93 at-bats in that contest, the fifth-most in NCAA history.
