Ducks Resume Pac-12 Play

EUGENE, Ore. – The No. 38 University of Oregon women's tennis team will resume Pac-12 play on Friday as they face the No. 42 Arizona State Sun Devils in Tempe, Ariz. Action is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. PT at the Whiteman Tennis Center.
The Ducks (10-6, 3-1) are coming off a 4-1 victory against the Fresno State Bulldogs on Wednesday in Fresno, Calif. Oregon has won five of their last six matches with four being against Pac-12 opponents. Away, the Ducks are 4-3 this season, while ASU is 6-2 at home.
Junior Alyssa Tobita and sophomore Shweta Sangwan hold the No. 48-rank, while senior Marlou Kluiving and freshman Julia Eshet are No. 66.
The next singles and doubles rankings will be released April 4.

The Opponent: The Sun Devils have three singles players ranked in the top-100 – Kelley Anderson (No. 90), Kassidy Jump (No. 65), Sammi Hampton (No. 63).
Jump and Hampton are currently on a five-match winning streak in doubles, and have claimed 18 of their last 21 matches with just one loss.
Arizona State is coming off a 6-1 home win over Northern Arizona.
Last Time Out: The Ducks snapped Fresno State's 18 match win streak at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center Wednesday afternoon with a 4-1 victory.
In doubles, Olivia Noble and Katerina Stloukalova defeated freshman Janvhi Clark and junior Nia Rose 6-3. In a tight battle, Fresno State earned the Doubles point as Juliane Triebe and Galine Bykova took down the No. 66-ranked pair of Kluiving and Eshet. The match between Sangwan and Tobita, and Fresno State's Emma Wilson and Georgia Lawson went unfinished.
In singles, the tables flipped to Oregon's favor, as Tobita would even up the score with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Emma Wilson. Kluiving took down Ndini Ndunda in the 6th position, 6-3, 6-2. Moving the score to 3-1, Bykova was defeated by Rose, 7-5, 6-1. Three matches went into third sets. The Ducks only needed one victory to solidify the team win, and Eshet did just that. The Hollywood, Fla., native bested Juliane Triebe, 6-0, 5-7, 6-3.
Oregon is 10-6 overall and will play six more regular-season matches against Pac-12 opponents. The Pac-12 championships will be held in Ojai, Calif., from April 26-April 29.
Looking Ahead: The Ducks will continue to face Arizona opponents on a quick turnaround as the team will travel to Tucson for a match against the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday, April 1. Action is set for noon.
