SENIOR CATHLEEN SANTOSO FINISHED AS THE TOP DUCK AT 10-OVER; OREGON FINISHED 13TH OVERALL; SENIOR MARCELLA PRANOVIA LED OREGON IN THE FINAL ROUND AT 3-OVER
BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. - The Oregon women's golf team finished up the Bryan National Collegiate on Sunday with a 20-over 307 in the final round to close out the three-round tournament in 13th place at 50-over (914).
How it Happened: Coming off a strong 6-over 294 in Saturday's second round, the Ducks struggled with bogies down the stretch on Sunday en route to the 13th-place finish. Alabama won the team title at 13-under, and also had the individual winner in Kristen Gillman (8-under).
Senior Cathleen Santoso wrapped up the tournament as the low scorer for Oregon, following up a pair of 2-over 74s on Saturday with a 6-over 78 on Sunday to finish in a tie for 42nd overall at 10-over (226). Sophomore Kathleen Scavo finished two strokes behind Santoso at 12-over (228) in a tie for 49th, shooting a 7-over 79 on Sunday after recording the low round of the weekend in Saturday's second round with a 2-under 70.
Senior Marcella Pranovia came away with the low round of the day for the Ducks in the final round, shooting a 3-over 75 to wrap up the weekend tied for 57th at 15-over (231). Pranovia bogied three of her first eight holes before settling down and recording three birdies down the stretch, including one on her final hole.
Sophomore Petra Salko carded a 6-over 78 in the final round to finish in a tie for 60th at 16-over, and senior Kelsey Ulep rounded out the Oregon lineup tied for 66th (17-over) after shooting a 5-over 77 on Sunday.
