Wise Earns PGA Tour Card

Former Oregon golfer and 2016 NCAA individual champion Aaron Wise secured a PGA Tour card Sunday with a 16th place finish at the WinCo Foods Portland Open.
Wise finished 18th on the Web.com Tour regular season money list and was one of 25 players to gain PGA Tour status for next season.
"It's always kind of been a dream ever since I started playing golf as a little kid," Wise said. "It's just been really cool and you never think it will come to fruition so for it to actually happen and for me to go to the PGA Tour, it's something I'm very grateful for."
The 2016 PING first-team all-American won once in 2017 at the Air Capital Classic in June while finishing in the top 10 twice and top 25 three times.
Wise turned professional shortly after helping lead the Ducks to the 2016 NCAA team title and spent his first professional season on the Mackenzie Tour. His fourth-place finish on the Mackenzie Tour Order of Merit list granted him Web.com Tour status for 2017.
Wise is the seventh Oregon alum all-time to earn PGA Tour status and the first under current head coach Casey Martin.
