EUGENE, Ore. – University of Oregon Director of Athletics Rob Mullens announced today the addition of Aaron Feld as the new strength and conditioning coordinator, working with the football program.
"We are excited about the addition of Aaron, and we believe his efforts will be of great benefit to our student-athletes," Mullens said. "I would like to thank Mario Cristobal and our director of performance and sports science, Andrew Murray, for their collaboration on our search that resulted in Aaron separating himself from an exceptional pool of candidates. We look forward to the significant positive impact Aaron will have on Oregon Athletics."
Feld joins Oregon from the University of Georgia, where he spent the last three years as the assistant director of strength and conditioning while working with the Bulldogs' football program. Before working at Georgia, Feld was the head strength coach at the University of North Alabama and a volunteer strength coach at the University of Alabama, where he worked with Cristobal.
"We are thrilled to have Aaron join the team," Cristobal said. "His experience with developing mental and physical toughness, which will be the backbone of our off-season program, makes Aaron uniquely qualified to work with our football student-athletes. He brings a high degree of energy and intensity to his work, and his passion for developing student-athletes is unmatched. Aaron understands what we are looking to do in regards to creating a mindset and instilling the discipline necessary to build a championship program. We are looking forward to watching him build trust and confidence within our team, and his efforts will propel us to a level where we are regularly competing for championships."
Feld is a graduate of Mississippi State University and holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. He began his career at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, where he worked with both the football and women's basketball programs.
