One year after the implementation of the House v. NCAA settlement, Oregon Athletics has successfully navigated one of the most significant transitions in college athletics history. Together, our donors, fans, and Oregon Athletics fully funded $20.5 million in additional scholarships and revenue sharing during the 2025–26 academic year, providing more opportunities for Oregon student-athletes than ever before. These investments helped fuel success across Oregon Athletics, supporting championship performances and national prominence across multiple programs, including:
Six Big Ten Conference Championship titles, highlighted by the Triple Crown Sweep in Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field, Cross Country, and Indoor Track & Field.
Football finished 13-2 with a No. 5 final national ranking and advanced to the College Football Playoff semifinals.
Oregon Baseball advanced to the NCAA Super Regional round for the third time in four years.

The Next Step
As we approach year two under the House Settlement, our job is not finished, and our commitment is unwavering. Due to the escalating revenue-sharing cap, Oregon Athletics must now raise $21.3 million to support student-athletes and sustain broad-based excellence across all 20 programs.
The SHOUT! Campaign is our response to this challenge. Through SHOUT!, we are growing our donor base, strengthening philanthropic support, and ensuring Oregon Athletics remains positioned to compete at the highest level. While many Power Four athletic departments have resources that allow them to absorb these costs more easily, Oregon faces unique challenges, including a smaller stadium capacity, a smaller alumni base, and a partial share of Big Ten media revenue. As a result, philanthropy plays a critical role in our ability to invest in student-athletes and maintain our competitive edge.
Multi-year commitments are especially valuable, providing the stability and predictability needed to sustain this annual investment in Oregon student-athletes.
Your support through the Duck Athletic Fund and the SHOUT! Campaign directly impacts Oregon student-athletes in three key ways:
The House Settlement replaced traditional scholarship limits with roster-based limits, creating new opportunities for student-athletes across all sports.
In 2025-26, Oregon Athletics provided 41.4 additional scholarship opportunities. These scholarships help student-athletes focus on their academic and athletic pursuits while ensuring every program has the resources needed to compete.
During the 2025-26 academic year, Oregon Athletics fully funded and distributed $20.5 million in revenue sharing and additional scholarships for student-athletes. This milestone was made possible through the generosity of more than 300 Duck Athletic Fund donors.
In 2026-27, that investment will increase to $21.3 million, making continued philanthropic support essential to sustaining these opportunities and attracting top talent to Oregon.
Oregon Athletics is committed to providing coaches, student-athletes, and all 20 programs with the resources necessary to compete for conference and national championships.
Your support helps sustain Oregon’s tradition of excellence by funding critical resources, advancing student-athlete development, and positioning every program for long-term success.

“The impact from donor support shows up constantly. Everything is easier. Having access to food in the morning, our facilities, travel, and all of the opportunities we have as a team, it's huge for us.”

The House Settlement, a result of three major class-action lawsuits, revolutionizes how college athletics operates. Here are the key elements to the settlement:
Revenue Sharing & Additional Scholarships: The settlement allows schools to provide up to approximately 22% of athletic media, ticket, and sponsorship revenue through revenue sharing and additional scholarships for student-athletes. For the 2025–26 academic year, that total is $20.5 million and will increase to $21.3 million in 2026–27.
Elimination of Scholarship Limits: The settlement replaces traditional scholarship caps with new roster-based limits, giving athletic departments greater flexibility in how they can support each program.
Back Pay: Roughly $2.8 billion in damages will be paid by the NCAA and major conferences to former student-athletes who competed between 2016 and 2024 for denial of name, image, and likeness opportunities. An estimated $1.2 million will be taken out of Oregon’s annual NCAA distribution for the next 10 years.
In 2025-26, Oregon Athletics fully funded the first year of revenue sharing and expanded scholarship opportunities for student-athletes. As the annual cap increases and back-pay obligations continue, philanthropic support will be essential to sustaining broad-based excellence across all 20 programs.
Oregon Athletics is extremely fortunate to have one of the most passionate fan bases in the country. We have experienced an extraordinary rise to become one of the premier athletic departments while doing so with a smaller football stadium and alumni base compared to other top collegiate programs.
